Dr. Suliman Hashemi, originally from Afghanistan, arrived in Switzerland at the age of 6, and after completing his schooling in the canton of Vaud, he obtained his medical degree in 2011 at the University of Lausanne.

He completed several years of assistantship between general surgery and internal medicine, acquiring a global vision of medicine and comprehensive and empathetic care of the patient.

Fascinated by cardiac pathophysiology, he began his postgraduate training in cardiology in 2017 at the University Hospital of Bern (Inselspital) where he practiced for four years. He enriched his experience in the cardiosurgery department of the CHUV under the direction of Prof. René Prêtre and then as clinical head in the cardiology departments of the Neuchatelois Hospital Network (RHNe) and the Riviera-Chablais hospital (HRC).

He obtained the title of FMH specialist in general internal medicine and cardiology in 2020. Finally, he holds a doctorate in medicine from the University of Lausanne.

With two FMH training courses as well as a vast medical network between the cantons of Vaud, Bern and Neuchâtel, wishing to offer optimal cardiological care by putting patients at the center of the therapeutic relationship, he finally decided to start a activity as an independent cardiologist and join the team at the Centre Médical du Lac.

He divides his free time between his family and his passions which are travel, cinema and sport.
