Dr. de Luca arrived in Switzerland at the end of 2013 after graduating from the University of Perugia in Italy for his post-graduate training in internal medicine.
He started in the neurology department of the University Hospitals of Geneva before continuing his training in internal medicine in Valais, in particular in the emergency and pneumology departments.
Attracted by the discovery of new cultures and the history of the peoples of America, he travelled around South America by motorbike and then by backpack, discovering the essence of his profession: putting the patient at the centre of medical activity for personalised care.
Back in Geneva at the HUG, he continued his training in the primary care medicine department and the community geriatrics unit, with the aim of finally joining the independent ambulatory practice in 2020, aware of the crucial importance of the GP's role in managing patients' health.
Passionate for aquatic sports, he has completed his training in hyperbaric and underwater medicine at the University of Geneva in 2022. He also finds a balance between science and emotion through his practice of aikido, his passion for Zen, literature and music.
