Dr. Olivier Bertholet graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lausanne in 2012. Driven by a desire to deepen his understanding of humans and medicine in all its diversity, he naturally turned to general internal medicine - a rich and varied specialty that encompasses acute hospital medicine, primary care in private practice, and emergency medicine.
In 2017, he obtained his specialist title in general internal medicine after completing a multidisciplinary training program that included hospital internal medicine, palliative care, nephrology, neurology, hand surgery, emergency medicine, and intensive care.
His interest in acute medicine led him to work in trauma centers at CHUV and Sion Hospital, where he earned certifications in both hospital and pre-hospital emergency medicine (SMUR). Since 2021, alongside his hospital work, he has served as an emergency physician with REGA and later with Air Glaciers, where he continues to practice regularly.
After holding the position of chief resident at Morges Hospital, CHUV, and the Centre Hospitalier du Valais Romand, he moved to the La Côte region in 2023, taking on the role of deputy chief physician in the emergency department at Nyon Hospital.
With experience across various regional, cantonal, and university medical institutions, Dr. Bertholet has developed a solid and diverse background in general internal medicine and emergency medicine. He has also specialized in bedside ultrasound, which he uses daily in his practice.
He practices at the Centre Médical du Lac both as a general practitioner and in ambulatory emergency medical-surgical care. He will be delighted to put his expertise at your service, whether for regular follow-up or an emergency consultation.
Outside of his professional activities, he dedicates his time to family and friends and regularly participates in mountain sports and travel.
