Dr Barbora Francisty, who is of Slovakian origin, obtained her medical degree in the Czech Republic, in Prague. During her studies, she did her practical training in Lyon, France, and then continued her General Internal Medicine training in Switzerland from 2013 at Genolier, Delémont, and then at the HUG in the General Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Primary Care Medicine departments.
In 2019, she qualified as a Specialist in General Internal Medicine and worked as a clinical head in the Department of Primary Care Medicine at the HUG. For 3 years, she was able to gain valuable experience in several emergency departments in Geneva and in her own practice.
A very open-minded person who listens to patients, she is also looking for other approaches to broaden the scope of her work and care, and is training in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Influenced by her travels in India and Asia, and constantly seeking to progress, she pursued various training courses, including yoga teacher training, yoga medicine, meditation and mindfulness meditation.
Passionate about general medicine and providing holistic support for patients, she decided to set up her own practice at the Centre Médicale du Lac, where she feels her values lie.
In her spare time, she enjoys her family, nature and travelling, hiking and ski-touring.
