Dr. Aline Gallois-Schmit
Medic
Pneumology

Originally from the canton of Vaud, Dr Gallois-Schmit attended school there and obtained her medical degree in 2014 from the University of Lausanne.

She quickly developed a passion for the respiratory tract, and began her training in thoracic surgery and then ENT, before specialising in internal medicine and pneumology. She qualified as a specialist in general internal medicine (FMH) in 2021, in pneumology in 2023, and obtained the European Respiratory Diploma (ERS) in 2021.

She has worked at the University Hospitals of Lausanne and Geneva, as well as at Hôpital de la Tour, as clinical head of outpatient, inpatient and endoscopic pulmonology. She also trained in sleep medicine at the HUG Sleep Centre.

Dr Gallois-Schmit will be joining the Centre Médical du Lac in January 2025. She hopes to offer her patients a listening ear and conscientious monitoring of their respiratory pathology of all types: obstructive pulmonary diseases (asthma and COPD), dysfunctional breathing, hyperventilation syndrome, aberrant breathing post COVID-19, rarer diseases (interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension) and non-invasive ventilation. She also takes a keen interest in patients suffering from sleep disorders, in particular sleep apnoea.

Outside of her medical practice, she enjoys spending time in nature, with her family and friends. She enjoys yoga and hiking.
